Ride-A-Long Program

The Fairbanks Fire Department allows ride-a-longs on the Department's Fire and EMS apparatus for approved personnel.

In order to be approved, you must complete the attached paperwork and provide a signed letter from the appropriate authority of your agency, approving your participation in ride-a-longs and stating that the agency's Workers Compensation Insurance will cover you during the ride-a-long. The final step in the approval process will be a 3-hour ride-a-long orientation, which will include details of how to schedule your ride-a-long, appropriate attire and patient confidentiality.

The completed ride-a-long application, release of liability and your agency's sponsorship letter should be submitted to Chief Warren Cummings at the Fairbanks Fire Department, and scheduling for your orientation will be arranged.
